Process Engineering Intern

Job Description Overview
An Engineering Intern/Co-op works assignments and responsibilities associated with an entry level engineer but tailored to the educational development of the student. Emphasis will be placed on duties that support the student's academic and career interests in addition to providing contributions to TRW. Likely duties will center on New Product Launch support, assisting with Equipment Software Development, and/or Equipment Hardware Development.
Supports the project planning and completion of tasks for New Product Launch
Provides updates for equipment project timing plans and cost tracking ensuring adherence to agreed cost and timing objectives
Implements strategies based on TRW cost and quality goals.
Produce equipment specifications at the direction of senior engineers.
Participate with design engineering to develop efficient and effective equipment specifications with due regard to failure/OE/Warranty data and 'lessons learned' from previous product launches.
Support the design, build and commission of equipment to the highest possible standard, with support from other engineers and/or outside contract resources as applicable to a project.
Prepare technical equipment manual/design file to include equipment drawings, specifications, records of all major design decisions, test results and change requests/authority etc.
Support / Write software (Visual C, C, C++, Visual Basic, ?) to a standard employing best practice principles ensuring integrity of the system and of the product.
Support product life cycle requirements including; Continuous Improvement, Product changes, line moves, customer requests, and quality improvement activities.
Validate and obtain approval/sign-off of equipment in accordance with department/company procedures and 'best practice' with documentation covering (as appropriate):
Calibration routines
Measurement System Analysis (MSA / R&R)
Risk Assessment
Maintenance schedule
Recommended spares

Job Requirements Education Requirements
Must be currently pursuing a 4-year college degree
Experience and Skill Requirements
Experience / Skills Required
BSEE / BSME / BSCO or related field.
Experience/knowledge in Analog circuit and Digital circuit design.
Software experience (Visual Basic, C++)
Good communication and organizational skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
